Glastron’s tradition of building great family runabouts makes us believe that they’ve hit the mark in creating a vacation boat that won’t just plod from port to port.

The GS 269 Sport Cruiser is designed and priced for families who enjoy day cruising and occasional overnight getaways. It’s also designed to hit speeds in the high 40s, and it can be trailered because of its 102" beam and 5,830-pound dry weight, making it more versatile than bigger models.

Its graceful lines are echoed in the cockpit, where the sweeping curves of the U-shaped seating and bolstered dual helm seat with its foldout sun lounge capture the eye. The stylish optional arch can hold an antenna, lights and stereo speakers.

They’ve included a wet bar and an icebox for happy hours. There’s even a AM/FM radio/CD player with Sirius satellite radio.

Below decks, contemporary cherrywood laminate cabinets and berths adorn cabins that can accommodate two adults and two youngsters. Two more can sleep in the cockpit if you spring for the optional canvas package and cockpit cover. There’s a full galley, stand-up shower and porcelain head for live-aboard convenience.

Glastron offers fourteen engine options.
